BC Rods ("BC Rods", "we", "us") is a custom fishing rod business run by Adam Burtson as a sole proprietor in Millsboro, Delaware. By using this website or buying from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Shipping Policy, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or place an order.

Use of the Site

You can browse this site and use its forms to learn about our rods and services and to contact us about quotes and orders. Please don't try to break into the site, send spam or abusive messages, use bots to submit forms or place orders, or interfere with how the site works.

Buying Ready-for-Sale Rods Online

Finished rods marked "For Sale" can be added to a cart and paid for online. Each one is one-of-a-kind, so:

• Rods are first come, first served. A rod in your cart is not held for you. It is yours only once your payment goes through.
• We check availability again when you start checkout. If a rod has already sold, checkout won't start.
• If two people pay for the same rod at nearly the same time, the later payment is refunded in full.
• Prices are in U.S. dollars. If a price is listed by mistake, we may correct it, and we will refund you if we can't honor a purchase.
• Square processes your payment. We never see or store your card number.
• After you pay, we'll contact you to arrange pickup or drop-off. See the Shipping Policy.

Pricing and Taxes

Delaware has no sales tax, and we don't currently add sales tax to Delaware pickups. If that changes, any tax or fees will be shown before you pay.

Quotes and Custom Orders

Quotes we give you through this site, by phone, or by email are estimates, not binding offers. Final price, timeline, and specs are confirmed when we agree on an order. Custom rods, repairs, and refurbishing are done to your specifications. Deposits, payment, changes, and cancellation are agreed when you place the order and follow the Refund Policy.

Product Descriptions and Photos

Every rod is made by hand. Photos show real work, and colors can look a little different on your screen. A custom rod may differ slightly from the examples. We try to keep descriptions accurate, but mistakes can happen.

Fishing Equipment and Safety

Fishing rods can break or cause injury if they are misused, overloaded, or used near power lines. You are responsible for using your rod safely, within its limits, and following local fishing laws.

Testimonials and Your Submissions

What you send through our forms should be accurate and yours to share. If you submit a testimonial, you let us show the quote, your name or role, and any photo you upload on this website and in our marketing after we review it. We may shorten, decline, or remove a submission. Your email and phone number are only used to follow up and are never shown publicly. If you send reference images or links, you confirm you have the right to share them with us for your project.

Intellectual Property

The text, photos, name, and logo on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please don't copy or use them commercially without our written consent.

Disclaimer

This site is provided "as is." We try to keep it accurate and current, but we can't promise it is complete, and prices and availability can change without notice. Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer law.

Limitation of Liability

As far as the law allows, BC Rods is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of this website or a purchase, and our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

This site links to and relies on other companies, such as Square for payments and our social media pages. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing Law

These terms follow Delaware law. If we have a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to work it out.

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted here, with the date shown above. Your purchase follows the terms in effect when you placed your order.
